Micron-E is a computer setworks system designed for:
- circular edgers;
- horizontal resaws
- other woodworking machines where one blade or saw unit is movable.
It can also be described as a sawmill controller or an automatic width and thickness regulator.
The operator enters the required size in millimetres, and Micron-E automatically moves the adjustable blade to the correct position. This makes size changes faster and easier, without the need to position the blade manually or rely only on a mechanical scale.
Micron-E includes eight programmable quick-size buttons. Frequently used dimensions can be saved in advance, allowing the operator to select the required size with a single button instead of entering every digit.
Micron-E can be used with electric, hydraulic, and other powered positioning systems. As a general rule, if the movable blade can already be controlled using push buttons or a toggle switch, it is usually possible to connect and install Micron-E.
The controller stores the minimum and maximum permitted positions and prevents the movable blade from travelling beyond these limits.
Built-in self-diagnostic functions monitor the main system signals and help identify faults more quickly. This simplifies troubleshooting and helps reduce machine downtime.
Micron-E also adapts the positioning process to the actual movement speed of the blade. This helps the system reach the selected size accurately and stop smoothly.
The system provides:
- Fast automatic blade positioning
- Accurate and repeatable dimensions
- Eight programmable quick sizes
- Minimum and maximum movement limits
- Built-in self-diagnostics
- Automatic adaptation to blade movement speed
- Fewer operator errors
- Faster size changes
- More consistent production
- Simpler everyday machine operation
