SW-350-PRO-TK Computer Setworks for TimberKing Sawmills
 
The SW-350-PRO-TK automatically positions the sawhead for each cut.
Think of it as a calculator for the sawyer — it does the calculations and automatically positions the sawhead.
You work with the board thicknesses you want to cut. The setworks calculates the next cut, takes blade kerf into account, and moves the sawhead to the correct height with high accuracy.
 
It also supports cutting lists, saved board thicknesses, and on-screen hints that help the operator make better cutting decisions and improve lumber yield.
 
Positioning is repeatable to +1/32", cut after cut, from the first board to the last one off the log. The tolerance is one-directional — boards can only come out thick, never thin. It can be set finer in the settings if you're cutting to tighter tolerances.
 
Works in both Imperial and Metric — inches and fractions, or millimeters.
 
Designed for TimberKing Sawmills
Compatible with TimberKing B20, 1220, 1600, 1620, 2200, 2520, and other TimberKing models.
Even if your TimberKing was originally built without computerized setworks — or without a powered sawhead lift — the SW-350-PRO-TK computer setworks can still be installed and used.
 
Manual or Automatic Sawhead Positioning
If you have a manual sawmill, such as the TimberKing 1220, you can use the Mikron setworks in Manual mode.
The setworks does the calculations and shows the required sawhead position while you raise or lower the sawhead manually.
 
If you later add a powered lift system — such as a lifting motor, electric winch, or ON/OFF hydraulic solenoids controlling sawhead UP/DOWN movement — the SW-350-PRO-TK can be connected to it for automatic positioning.
No new setworks is required. Connect the powered lift system and switch the controller to Automatic mode in the settings.
 
On TimberKing models with hydraulic sawhead lift, the SW-350-PRO-TK can be connected directly to the UP/DOWN hydraulic solenoids for automatic positioning.
 
Your existing manual hydraulic lever stays in place and continues to work just as it does now.
Use the hydraulic lever whenever you want to raise or lower the sawhead manually. When you want precise automatic positioning, the Mikron setworks controls the solenoids and moves the sawhead to the calculated height.
 
Main Functions
Board-by-Board Mode
Enter the board thickness. The setworks calculates the next cut, takes blade kerf into account, and positions the sawhead automatically.
 
Boards List / Cutting Pattern Mode
Enter the board thicknesses you want to cut.
For example:
2" – 1" – 1" – 1" – 3/4" – 3/4"
The setworks moves through the list cut by cut, handling the calculations, blade kerf, and sawhead positioning for you.
 
GOTO Mode
Enter the required sawhead height and move directly to that position.
 
Veneer / Thin-Slice Mode
For repetitive thin cuts of the same thickness.

Easy Installation
The SW-350-PRO-TK is designed for straightforward retrofit installation on TimberKing sawmills.
Install the position sensor on top of the sawhead.
Mount the control panel in a convenient location.
Connect 12 VDC power.
Connect the sensor using the industrial plug-and-play connector.
For automatic positioning, connect the setworks to the sawhead UP/DOWN hydraulic solenoids or control circuit.
 
Instruction manual and technical support is available if you need help with installation, wiring, or calibration.
 
For TimberKing B20 and 1220, select 13 ft of sensor wire.
For larger TimberKing models, including 1600, 1620, 2200 and 2520, select 39 ft or more, depending on your installation.
 
If the operator stays in a fixed position while the sawhead travels, estimate the required wire length as: Sawing table length + sawhead height + extra length for routing the wire to the stationary control position.
